About the event

The festival is a cultural awareness event and a fundraiser for Ukrainians, who experienced hardship due to war. We also will have warm clothes / sleeping bags (to be send to Ukraine) and toy (for local refugee children) drives.

What to expect? Lot's of pierogis, live music and dancing, ancient art cultural workshops, meeting Ukrainian refugees in your community, and much more! All profits will go to Ukrainian women, children, families, and injured in Ukraine and US.

We are grateful to Kozuba and Sons Distillery for donating their beautiful business space for this fundraiser.

Danube International organizes public and private charitable fundraisers in Sarasota and Tampa Bay.  While collecting proceeds to benefit people of Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees, who are experiencing hardship,  Danube International engages in educational aspect and introduces a taste of Ukrainian culture to Sarasota,  the Tampa Bay area and beyond.  In addition to helping Ukrainian refugees directly, we also provide local community with an opportunity for donations to reputable Ukrainian charitable organizations, which have been working first-hand in war affected areas in Ukraine for years, helping human and animal victims of war.

Services provided to local refugees:

*Issuing video guides on how to access and apply for social services 

*Assisting individuals and families with applying for benefits

*Organizing a volunteer-based support systems

*Bridging the gap and connecting refugees with available refugee 

  services

*Providing social and educational services

*Establishing relationships with the school systems

*Helping finding employment

*Providing newly arrived refugees with food, clothing and household items

*Educating local businesses on hiring newly-arrived refugees

*Providing cultural and sensitivity training to local businesses and social services providers

  • Free Admission Ticket

    This ticket will only guarantee your admission in case if the event is to full capacity. In order to purchase pierogi, workshops, drinks, souvenirs or other items, you will have to purchase different tickets onsite.
